Details on the GT5 DLC including date price and content.
Polyphony Digital have today revealed details for the Gran Turismo 5 downloadable content hinted at last week. The GT5 DLC will be available on October 18th in North America and October 19th in Europe and will be available through the 4 packs below, as listed by the PlayStation Blog:
Course Pack ($4.99, $€3.99, 3.49*):
The Course pack will contain 2 new tracks, the famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and an indoor karting circuit made by Polyphony themselves. This track has lots of funky neon lighting which is designed to show off GT5 lighting effects.
Racing Car Pack ($7.99, €7.99, £4.99*):
The Car Pack contains ’11 custom PDI-designed custom touring editions of fan favorites like the Mazda RX-7, Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, Dodge Challenger SRT8, Nissan GT-R, Honda CR-Z, and even a race tuned Toyota Prius’ and some other cars. There are also 3 new racing karts as well as the Red Bull X2011 Prototype racing vehicle. This is the next in step up in pure racing speed to the Red Bull X2010 which was the biggest, and hardest to get, prize in GT5.
Racing Gear Pack ($2.99, €1.99, £1.99*):
This pack contains 90, yes 90 bits of racing gear like suits and helmets. They contain the racing suits of celebrity drivers such as Sebastian Loeb, Peter Solberg and some NASCAR drivers.
The Special Paint Pack ($1.99, €1.99, £1.49*):
I can hardly contain my excitement as I tell you that there will be 100 new colours to customise your cars with! They will include shades of matte, chrome and aluminum.
Polyphony are also releasing a ‘Complete Pack’ bundle featuring all four packs for a discounted price of $11.99/€11.99/£7.99*. Playstation Plus members can also get a further 25% discount on the bundle.
*GBP prices unconfirmed, displayed prices are estimates.
Also available right now is the free GT5 Spec 2.0 update. We listed some of its features last week.
