A new Darksiders II trailer by THQ showcases the games new protagonist; Death.
The trailer features a vignette for Death; the new main character who will be taking over War’s position as protagonist in the original.
Darksiders II is being developed by Vigil Games and will adopt the hack & slash action/adventure genre featured in its predecessor. The game will feature an original soundtrack by composer Jesper Kyd, who has also worked on Assassin’s Creed and Hitman game soundtracks, among others.
Today it was announced that all pre-orders for Darksiders II will be automatically upgraded to the Limited Edition, which includes the first single-player downloadable content pack, “Argul’s Tomb” for free when it is made available. Also, different pre-order bonuses are available from various retailers including GAME and Amazon, which include the ‘Angel of Death’ and ‘Deadly Despair’ content packs respectively.
Darksiders II is set for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 26th of June in North America and the 29th of June in Europe.
